“ Loved it. Beautiful place with great views. Food was very, very nice too. ”
“ We were a group of 4 and booked online beforehand. We were welcomed to our table in the conservatory area. We ordered the following mains: Sea Bass, fish & chips, steak and chicken. All the meals were delicious. We also had the apple & cherry crumble, and 2 mini desserts with coffees. We have been here several times in recent years and this visit was our favourite of them all. Recommend others to try it out. ”
“ This place is amazing, Shaun (not sure if it’s the right spelling) is such a credit to this place. When we said the seating wasn’t right for us he found a better spot & we really appreciated it. He was super helpful on picking food items. The spot is so cute with a wonderful view of the hills especially the horses! We got a baked Camembert for two, with some garlic & cheese flat bread, for mains we got a burger & chips, along with a cheese pie & dessert is pictured here. 10/10 recommend to anyone! ”
“ Lovely Saturday afternoon late lunch. Black pudding and scallops starters, beef rib and lamb shank for mains. The star was the blue cheese dauphinoise, stunning. Great location and decor too. ”
“ Lovely food. Great. Prompt but unhurried service, very pleasant staff. Food was good. ”
“ My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary on Sunday and wasn't disappointed. We chose to go for the Sunday sharing platter which was really nice, the only criticism would be was the chicken was slightly dry and the portion size of stuffing & pigs in blankets was very small but other than that it was very nice and we would definitely be returning. We've been to the pack horse several times and always enjoyed our visits and the food. Thank you ”
“ Incredible roast platter. Huge portions all round. One of the best Guinness I’ve had in England. Perfect Sunday roast place. (Slightly over-cooked Yorkshire puddings but that’s the trend apparently). ”
